you can also migrate to different places on rivers, at the same time rivers also help carry waste of the civilization and also help generate hydro electricity with the help of building dams on them because of all these amazing benefits of rivers,

 it is a no surprise that many ancient civilizations like Indus valley civilization and Egyptian civilization were developed near the river banks.
